PAT LUGO
Patricio Lugo, a nationally recognized wrestler, hails from Homestead, FL. His wrestling journey began at the age of 4, and over the course of more than 20 years, he carved out a remarkable career. Lugo achieved significant milestones during his time at the University of Iowa, where he became a Big10 Champion and earned the prestigious title of 2x Collegiate All American.
A true force in the wrestling world, Lugo claimed the #1 spot in the country for the 149lb weight class, showcasing his exceptional skill and dedication to the sport. His passion for wrestling took him beyond U.S. borders, as he traveled the world representing his craft in countries like France, Egypt, Bulgaria, and Poland.
In 2023, Patricio Lugo decided to retire from competitive wrestling, marking the end of a prolific chapter in his athletic career. His legacy in the wrestling community is one marked by achievements, dedication, and a global footprint in the pursuit of excellence.
VICTOR BALMECDA

Vic Balmeced, known as "Coach B," is a celebrated wrestling coach with an impressive track record. He has been named Wrestling USA Magazine’s “High School National Coach of the Year” three times and “High School National Assistant Coach of the Year” twice. Coach B has also earned the title of “Southeastern Regional Coach of the Year” three times, “Dairy Farmer’s 3A Florida Wrestling Coach of the Year” 17 times, and the Miami Herald’s “All Dade Wrestling Coach of the Year” 22 times.
In 2013, he was honored as Wrestling USA Magazine’s “Florida Man of the Year.” Under his leadership, teams have won 17 FHSAA IBT Team State Championships and 6 FHSAA Dual Meet Team State Championships. Coach B will bring his winning experience to the Miami Hawks Wrestling Event.
REAL WOODS

Real Woods is an accomplished wrestler with a stellar career. He is a 4x All-American, an NCAA Runner-Up, and a 3x State Champion. Woods brings his elite experience and competitive spirit to the Miami Hawks Wrestling Event.

Steve Mocco is a two-time NCAA national champion and four-time finalist, widely regarded as one of the most accomplished collegiate wrestlers in history. A Dan Hodge Trophy winner, Mocco's dominance on the mat earned him recognition as the best wrestler in the nation. His extensive experience and passion for the sport make him an exceptional coach, now joining the Miami Hawks Thanksgiving Intensive Camp. Mocco brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of success to help athletes reach their highest potential.
